Identify a problem that can be improved/solved through the graphic design process by conducting research, investigating various audiences and stakeholders, and integrating a variety of design solutions using a comprehensive branding system.
Approach

The problem that this project is addressing is the concept of food deserts present in the Tenderloin and Oakland. The goal of Urban Seed is to promote the concept of a healthier lifestyle within a community, a healthy lifestyle available to all people, spanning all sociodemographic groups and geographical locations. Through research and process development, a solidified brand was created and three types of deliverables are the outcome of this project: an app that helps people locate fresh healthful foods within a desert, an editorial, and a cooking workshop kit.
