Create a hypothetical film festival dedicated to a director of your choice. Discover a common thread that appears in each of the directors’ films and conceptualize a design aesthetic that brings it to life. Develop a visual identity and a cohesive visual system which will be expressed throughout a variety of different media all of which, capture the essence of the film festival.
Approach

I chose to develop a Coen Brothers’ Film Festival titled “Killer Plans”. The recurring theme or common thread I found in their movies was the portrayal of selfish schemers who orchestrate absurd plans that go completely wrong. Killer Plans distills and translates the feelings of the films into words, imagery, objects and graphics.
